And all it takes with just a one-time pairing with your phone. After that, it’ll reconnect with just 1-2 button presses.
However, most new car owners find the pairing process difficult.

How To Connect Bluetooth To Kenwood Radio
Recently, I have written Bluetooth pairing guides for alpine, pioneer, and JVC car stereos.
Since Kenwood is another major car stereo brand, I decided to publish one of them as well.
Below you can find Bluetooth pairing methods for some popular Kenwood stereos.
How to Connect Bluetooth to Kenwood KDC-BT362U
- Press the SRC button to turn on the head unit
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone. Search and select the device name.
- Once you’ve selected this device, you’ll get a pop-up message to confirm the pairing.
- Select ‘Pair’ and also press the volume knob of your head unit to start the pairing process.
- A Bluetooth icon will appear over your head unit screen to indicate that the process is finished.
How to Connect Bluetooth to Kenwood KDC-X301
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your phone and then turn it on.
- You should see a device named ‘ KDC-X3**’ in the list of available devices
- Once you’ve selected this device, you’ll get a pop-up message to confirm the pairing.
- Before tapping on ‘pair’, make sure that you’ve selected the ‘pairing’ option on your car radio.
- Now tap on ‘pair’ to complete this process.
How to Connect Bluetooth to Kenwood DMX1057XR
- Press the volume knob.
- Now you’ll see a bunch of different menu options. Tap on ‘Device List’ on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- To add your phone, press the + icon on the top side. It will make your car radio available for pairing.
- Now turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Tap on pair a new device to search for a device named ‘DMX1057XR’ in the list of available devices.
- Tap on that device to start the pairing process. Now you’ll get a pop message to confirm the pairing. Tap on ‘pair’ and press ‘Yes’ on the car stereo screen.
- Now you will be able to see your phone in the car stereo’s Bluetooth Device List.
How to Connect Bluetooth to Kenwood DPX500BT
- Press the SRC button to turn on the car stereo.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Search and select ‘DPX5**BT’ in the nearby devices list.
- You’ll get a pop-up message to confirm the pairing. Tap on ‘Pair’.
- If you’re asked for a PIN code, enter ‘0000’. Then press the control knob.
- A message saying ‘Pairing OK’ will appear on your stereo screen indicating that the pairing process has complete.
